KAYLA DAVION

Kayla Davion is currently in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical on Broadway playing an Ikette and also understudying the lead role of Tina Turner. Kayla is so thankful for the opportunity to give back with one of her favorite organizations. She is always looking for an opportunity to use her platform to bring awareness and joy to others and is thrilled to get a moment such as this one. She believes in the mantra "Lead with Love" and strives to always bring that into any work that she does. She chose the song "Didn't Know My Own Strength" by icon and legend Whitney Houston because she believes it to be the song that is most relatable to her since the pandemic hitting in 2020. She believes that anyone who has ever been through a rough time can relate to this moment. Davion expresses that this is a song of hope and reminds the world that they are not their past struggles but they are all constant visions of healing and light. Her past credits include: Waitress the Musical (Dawn US, Ensemble), King Kong Alive On Broadway (Ann Darrow US, Ensemble) and “The Good Fight” (Winsome). @kayladavion
